SEEDS Palliative Care, an emerging force in palliative care services, is on the hunt for a driven, dedicated full-time Social Worker in Community Development who is proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Tamil and is willing to relocate.

Working hours

Full-time.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who hold a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), are proficient in Tamil (reading, writing, and speaking), and are willing to relocate to the Keelapavoor, Tenkasi District, Tamil Nadu area. Previous experience in palliative care during internship or 0-1 year experience in a similar role will be considered an asset.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a key player in our start-up, you will have the unique opportunity to shape our community development initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing vital psychosocial support to patients and families facing life-limiting or terminal illnesses.

Advocating for patient rights and needs within the community.

Navigating community resources and services to provide essential support to patients and their families.

Organizing and facilitating programs to raise community awareness about palliative care.

Mobilizing resources to support care initiatives.

Conducting thorough assessments of community needs and resources for care provision.

Developing and executing community development strategies for palliative care.

Conducting research to continually improve community-based care.
