If you’re seeking comprehensive palliative care in Tenkasi, your search ends here. October 11th marked an important day in our mission to provide ethical, whole-person care through palliative services. SEEDS Palliative Care, an initiative by the Percy Jebamalar Legacy Foundation, organized a transformative event—a free medical camp at Baren Bruck Hospital, Athisayapurum.

A Community Effort

In collaboration with eminent healthcare institutions like Bell pins Hospital, Tirunelveli, Pro Vision Eye and Retina Care Center, Tenkasi, and Pallium India, Trivandrum, this camp took palliative care in Tenkasi to new heights. More than 100 patients benefited from this endeavour, further solidifying our commitment to ensure no one in Tenkasi has to suffer without proper medical care.

Spreading Awareness

One of the unique features of this camp was that every patient and their caregivers were given vital information about palliative care. Our trained counsellors from SEEDS Palliative Care took it upon themselves to educate the community. Awareness is the first step toward better healthcare, and we are dedicated to lighting the way.

The Backbone: Our Volunteers

This event wouldn’t have been a success without our team of volunteers. Special mention must be made of the volunteers who were trained in Athisayapurum and Keelapavoor; they offered their tireless efforts to ensure the smooth running of the camp. They are not just volunteers; they are the very fabric of our compassionate community.

Through events like these, we’re one step closer to making Tenkasi a hub of world-class palliative care. As we continue to empower communities through free medical camps and educational programs, our dream of a pain-free Tenkasi comes ever closer to reality. Join us on this journey. Because when it comes to palliative care in Tenkasi, we’re not just treating patients, we’re treating families, and building stronger communities.
